Q. Why won't my Username and Password work?

 A. 1. Usernames and Passwords are case sensitive. Be sure you are entering each letter correctly. Click on 'Help' to have your password information emailed to you.

     2. Your subscription may have expired. Go to the sign up form to renew.

 

Q. I can enter the calculator page, why doesn't the calculator appear?

 A. 1. You may need to wait a little longer. This is a large program. Some browsers show the progress at the bottom of the window, others just show a coffee cup. It will load over 190 files and make take several minutes the first time.

     2. The guideline support calculator is written in Java. You may have to adjust your browser settings to use Java. For Internet Explorer: Go to Tools - Internet Options and click the Advanced tab. Go down to Microsoft VM. Put a check in all 3 boxes. Click Ok. Shut down and restart Internet Explorer.

     3. You may need to download a java plug-in. To get a plug-in direct, go to http://java.com/en/ You may have to reboot your system before the plug-in will take affect. 

 

Q. Why can't I just type in my income in the income field?

 A. When you click on the income field, a detail box appears. You must enter your income here. The source of the income can affect taxes and withholding. Click the Continue button when done. The source of income is displayed in the Report View. 

 

Q. Why can't I see the Continue button at the bottom of the Income box?

A. Your screen resolution is too low. Right click on a blank area of your desktop. Left click on Properties the Settings. Move the slide bar until it says 600 x 800. Click OK. Then confirm the change.

 

Q. I type in amounts but they don't stay or show up in the summary field, why?

 A. You can't use commas or the $ sign. Only enter numbers and the period.

 

Q. How many times can I use the SupportCourt Calculator?

 A. As many times as you wish during your 30 day subscription period. 

 

Q. What if I lose my Username or Password?

 A. Click on Help on the upper left. Enter the email address you used when you signed up and the information will be sent to you. 

 

Q. I am using Netscape and the printout is blank. What do I do?

A. Click on File - Edit Page. This will put the program into Composer. Enter your info and click 'Report View'. Then Click on File-Print.
